PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Center for Justice Research and Innovation (JRI) is hiring for a part-time Sr. Advisor. This role supports JRI's domestic violent extremism (DVE) portfolio by developing and executing research projects aimed at improving DVE prevention tools and efforts across the country. The responsibilities include:

  • Designing and conducting high-quality research and evaluations
  • Translating research findings into practitioner-oriented products
  • Providing training and education for practitioners in the field

This position involves leading less complex activities independently and contributing to more complex projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

  1. Lead and manage multiple projects of medium to large size or complexity.
  2. Apply advanced knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts to research and analysis.
  3. Prepare project reports and briefings.
  4. Provide expertise in project development.
  5. Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
  6. Develop professional contacts with decision makers and contract administrators.
  7. Support proposal development and marketing efforts.
  8. Advise management on project planning and pursuit.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in relevant fields; experience working with individuals at risk for targeted violence (at least 3+ years if a licensed mental health provider).
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, and computer skills; knowledge of policy and thought leaders in related fields.
