Job summary

Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, is seeking a senior development leader to head the gift officer team through The Campaign for Wentworth. The AVP will shape strategy, prospect readiness, and leadership giving to drive the campaign toward a public launch and close.

The role requires 10+ years of frontline fundraising, a track record in seven-figure gifts, and experience managing a campaign team. Hybrid work with in-office presence three days per week is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of frontline fundraising experience with a history of closing major gifts.
• Direct participation in a comprehensive campaign at the $50M level or above.
• Experience managing a development team during a campaign.
• Experience with principal gift strategies at seven-figure level and above.
• Strong moves management, pipeline development, and CRM knowledge (Slate).
• Ability to analyze fundraising data and drive program decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the gift officer team across major gifts, leadership gifts, and partnerships.
• Carry a personal portfolio of major and principal gift prospects.
• Partner with the VP and President on transformational donor relationships.
• Hold the team accountable using pipeline data and performance indicators.
• Develop gift officers into the university's next generation of leaders.
• Steward gift-acceptance and naming decisions across the 10-year master plan.
