Job summary

University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Provider III to deliver direct patient care under physician supervision. The role spans subspecialty outpatient and inpatient settings, with potential NICU involvement and limited OR time.

Flexible to travel up to 25% as needed. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Nursing or a Master’s in a Physician Assistant program and licenses in Florida and/or Georgia. BLS is mandatory; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Must hold APRN or PA license at time of hire.
• Travel up to 25% during assigned duties.
• BLS required at time of hire; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Licensure in Florida and/or Georgia as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice under physician supervision.
• Coordinate referrals, schedule procedures, and assist with discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and care plans.
• Perform or assist with advanced procedures in clinic or inpatient settings.
• Document in EMR and ensure compliance with billing guidelines.
• Respond to consults and participate in care planning for high-acuity patients.
• Support care for pre/post-operative and pre/post-procedural patients.
• Contribute to comprehensive health management plans with the care team.
