Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer — Automation & ToolingA day in this roleYou start your morning translating cross-functional requirements into smart, buildable designs—process flows, tooling concepts, and equipment specifications. By midday, you’re partnering with suppliers to align on acceptance criteria, runoff plans, and validation steps, making sure recipes and parameters are ready for a smooth launch. In the afternoon, you’re driving kaizen events on the floor to eliminate waste, architecting schedules around critical path items, and updating stakeholders on capital spending and delivery milestones. You wrap by mentoring a teammate on FMEA strategy and fine-tuning a design in 3D CAD to reduce cost without sacrificing performance. What you’ll ownConvert business and product requirements into detailed specifications for manufacturing processes, custom tooling, and production equipment.Create and execute runoff and validation plans, including equipment build oversight, process recipe creation/modification, and documented acceptance testing.Champion continuous improvement to cut waste, reduce cost, and shorten lead times using lean, standard work, mistake-proofing, and SPC principles.Build and manage project schedules; identify critical path, track risks, and drive on-time delivery of all dependencies.Collaborate closely with tooling/equipment suppliers to meet technical, timing, and quality targets.Own capital forecasts and budgets for assigned projects; communicate updates in management reviews.Lead and facilitate kaizen activities to scale production capacity and support business growth.Provide project leadership for cross-functional teams and mentor engineers and technicians.Travel as needed to supplier sites to support pre-acceptance, runoff, and equipment validation prior to site arrival.QualificationsEducation & experienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field (with strong mechanical emphasis) required.5+ years of relevant engineering experience; manufacturing environment strongly preferred.Skills you bringProven track record coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects.Hands-on with lean/kaizen, standard work, poka-yoke, SPC, FMEA, and structured problem solving.Experience verifying and validating manufacturing processes. Background in equipment/tooling design and fabrication.Fluency in interpreting technical drawings and producing clear engineering reports.Mechanical design proficiency, including 3D modeling and creation of detailed 2D drawings.Comfort with ambiguous objectives; able to prioritize and define critical paths.Bias for action and urgency to hit program milestones.Outcome-focused problem solver.BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverageHSA, Health Care FSA, and Dependent Care FSAPaid Time Off and company holidays401(k) with employer matchLife and AD&D insurancePaid leavesTuition assistanceComplianceRestrictions imposed by federal export control laws may limit this job opportunity to candidates who are a “U.S. Person”, which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted asylum in the United States, and refugees in the United States, or who otherwise can qualify for a license that permits them to hold the position.
