Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Advanced Software Engineer to join the Anthem NGA Flight Deck program. You will design, implement, and integrate Core Software architectures for the Flight Management System, working with cross-functional teams to meet stringent certification standards.

You will review requirements, guide software design, and lead debugging and validation on hardware test benches, contributing to a next‑generation cockpit platform used across commercial and defense domains.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++ and object-oriented programming
• Experience with modern software development tooling and processes
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles
• Experience with safety-critical, real-time systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate Core Software for avionics and FMS
• Collaborate with systems engineers to define requirements and solutions
• Lead code reviews, design reviews, and software integration
• Ensure compliance with certification standards and safety requirements
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues on hardware test benches
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices
