Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to design, develop, and test PLC-based control systems for aerospace/defense applications. You will lead projects, define requirements, and mentor junior engineers while working with Emerson, Allen-Bradley, and Phoenix Contact platforms.

Responsibilities include maintaining LabVIEW systems, creating robust specifications, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.

Qualifications

6+ years of PLC programming across Emerson, Allen‑Bradley, and Phoenix Contact.
Experience writing object‑oriented code using function blocks or add‑on instructions.
Experience architecting and writing code from scratch for controls.
6+ years with LabVIEW, VeriStand, Python, and .NET.
US Person per ITAR.
Knowledge of Git or TeamCenter for software configuration.
SQL experience to structure and query databases.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and lead PLC programs for new and existing equipment.
Provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
Define control system requirements and develop detailed specifications.
Maintain LabVIEW systems and adapt to evolving customer needs.
Lead implementation and testing of new systems; troubleshoot code/electrical/mechanical issues.
Program PLCs on Emerson, Allen-Bradley, and Phoenix Contact.
