Orange County Public Schools is seeking a data analytics professional to provide expertise in accountability, data reporting strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives to support district goals.
The role requires experience with SQL, SPSS, or R, and proficiency in Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI, along with strong collaboration with school and district staff to drive data-informed decisions.
To provide expertise and access to district services in the areas of accountability, data and reporting strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives to assist school and district leaders with achieving district goals.
Demonstrated knowledge of data management, analysis, interpretation, reporting and visualization strategies. Demonstrated experience in the use of query languages, statistical analysis software (e.g., SQL, SPSS, and/or R), and data visualization applications (e.g., Cognos, Tableau, Power BI). Demonstrated ability to identify key data sources to meet district informational needs. Demonstrated skill and experience in writing and presenting data in a variety of formats to administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and members of the community. Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and monitor the completion of tasks and projects according to established timelines with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability in planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring processes related to all areas of responsibility in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in priorities and work assignments. Demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes and engage in conflict resolution, planning, and decision-making between school and district leadership to build consensus and develop goals.
