Senior Administrative Employment Specialist

Description


Performs the full range of professional duties required to plan, develop, and implement administrative staffing practices; supports human resources administration, including the performance of complex and/or sensitive activities; manages human resources large-scale, long-term projects; and serves as a resource of region, school, and departmental staff.



Qualifications


Required

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in human resources, education, or related field, some of which may have been in a supervisory or administrative role.
    • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
  • May be required to work evening and weekend events.
  • Knowledge of the theory, procedures, and practices of one or more of the fields of human resources.
  • Familiarity with the principles and methods of public human resources administration and educational institution organization, including a deep understanding of the multi-faceted complexities of leading a school.
  • Knowledge of the Division's organization, mission, rules, and regulations, and local and state laws related to employment
  • Familiarity with project management practices.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
  • Master's degree.
  • School-based administrative experience.
  • Professional educational license.
