Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant for the Child Abuse Division in Chicago. Primary duties include clerical support to the Sr.

Director, calendar management, meeting preparation, and data gathering for reports. Hybrid work potential after 90 days orientation. The role requires a High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of office experience, with Epic and MS Office skills highly valued.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 3+ years general office or secretarial experience including one year of mid-level management support
  • Hospital or physician office experience preferred
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Type at least 40 wpm preferred
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage priorities of multiple team members

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative clerical support to a Sr. Director and/or Physician Division Head and staff
  • Prepares routine correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc.
  • Screens telephone calls and visitors; resolves routine and complex inquiries
  • Schedules and maintains calendars, meetings and travel itineraries
  • Prepares and distributes minutes of meetings
  • Gather and analyzes data for special reports and regular meetings
  • Assists administrators and directors with special projects as requested
  • Assist with budget data maintenance and information distribution among directors

Senior Administrative Asst - Child Abuse Division

Location 155 E Superior. M-F days. Hybrid potential after 90 days orientation.

Min Quals:
  • 1. High School Diploma required
  • 2. 3+ years general office or secretarial experience that includes one year of mid-level management support required.
  • 3. Hospital or physician office experience preferred.
  • 4. Epic experienced preferred.
  • 5. Extensive knowledge and experience working with Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to operate standard office equipment (examples: photocopy machine, facsimile machine, calculator, etc.). Ability to type at least 40 wpm is preferred.
  • 6. Must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills to effectively manage priorities of multiple team members.
  • 7. Ability to provide high level of quality customer service to team members, employees, management staff, in addition to external customers.
Job Duties:

Pay Range

$24.00-$39.24 Hourly
