Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an onsite Administrative Professional at our Naval Reactor Facility in Idaho. You will manage calls, visitors, and emails, prepare correspondence and meeting materials, and coordinate travel and office logistics to keep operations efficient.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant experience with strong time management and clear communication. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP Concur, and Bluebeam is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Associate degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calls, visitors, and email; prepare polished correspondence and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate travel, schedules, office moves, mail, and supplies.

Job Description

Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory at our Naval Reactor Facility in Idaho as a key onsite Administrative Professional. In this role, you’ll keep daily operations running smoothly by managing calls, visitors, and email; preparing polished correspondence and meeting materials; and coordinating travel, schedules, office moves, mail, and supplies. Your consistent onsite presence strengthens collaboration, enables quick support, and helps maintain an efficient, responsive workplace.

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) and interested in developing and maintaining these skills
  • Experience with SAP Concur and travel systems/software
  • Understanding of Adobe editing program Bluebeam or an equivalent program

Pay Range

$52,300.00 - $78,500.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. We rely on the dedication and innovation of our nearly 8000 engineers, scientists, technicians, and support personnel.
