Job summary

Mountain Laurel Recovery Center in Westfield, Pennsylvania seeks a Lead Counselor to provide treatment, counseling, and recovery support to clients with addictions and co‑occurring disorders. This onsite role focuses on assessments, treatment planning, and leading group and individual sessions.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in social services or related field with 2+ years post‑Master’s experience, current licensure as a social worker or counselor, CPR and de‑escalation training, and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social services, addictions, mental health, or related field.
• 2+ years of post-Master’s degree experience in addictions, therapy or counseling.
• Current and valid licensure as a social worker, professional counselor, therapist or addiction counselor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments focused on history, presentation, and treatment needs.
• Lead group counseling, individual or family sessions.
• Develop and review initial treatment plans and progress notes.
• Provide crisis intervention and aftercare planning.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers and referrals as needed.
