Rivian is seeking a Senior Staff Electronic Design Engineer to lead the architecture and PCB design of high‑compute ECUs for its autonomous platform. You will work across software, mechanical, thermal and reliability teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions and drive post‑production hardware changes.

You will guide design with RAP processors, enable high‑speed interfaces, and mentor engineers while tackling field issues and supply‑chain driven revisions.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in electronic hardware design.
• Experience designing high-compute platforms with SoCs, NN accelerators and GPUs.
• Familiarity with autonomy software stack, drivers, Linux OS, bootloaders, firmware.
• Strong fundamentals in power delivery, analog design, SI/PI, PCB stack-ups.
• Schematic capture tools: Altium Designer and OrCAD.
• Lab hardware bring-up, characterization and root-cause analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Bridge mechanical, thermal, reliability and software teams.
• Address field issues and hardware changes post-SOP.
• Perform root cause analyses and corrective actions for field problems.
• Collaborate on architectural definition and detailed design of ADAS high compute systems.
• Design high-speed digital circuits with RAP processor in sensor suite.
• Validate high-speed interfaces (PCIe, 10GbE, MIPI CSI).
• Perform electrical validation and interpret eye diagrams for high-speed IO.
• Drive schematic capture and PCB layout guidance for reliability and manufacturability.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams to foster technical excellence.
• Utilize high-speed test equipment to troubleshoot hardware-software interactions.
