Job summary

DCC in New Orleans, LA is seeking an ADA Counselor Lead to guide services for students with disabilities and related supportive needs. This full-time role partners with the Title IX Coordinator to ensure compliant accommodations and campus accessibility, while supervising counselors and updating policies.

You will develop caseloads, train staff, and provide online and on-campus support, maintaining confidential records and coordinating with faculty, records, and community partners to promote

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Rehabilitative Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Experience in case-management and leading teams on projects.
• Knowledge of FERPA, Title IV regulations, student identity verification, and higher-education compliance.
• Proficient in coordinating services for students with disabilities and gender-based issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead review, creation, and enhancement of services and policies for students with disabilities and related supportive services.
• Assist Title IX Coordinator with compliance and requirements under Title IX, VAWA, and related laws.
• Serve as primary resource for campus student accessibility and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Inform faculty on student accommodations and rights to ensure equal access.
• Monitor performance, manage contracts, and lead ADA Taskforce and counseling team.
• Provide online counseling via email, phone, and distance education.
• Maintain confidential student records and provide community resources.
