Job summary

Alexion is seeking an Associate Director, Advertising and Promotion Compliance in the US to oversee regulatory content for promotional materials and support strategic planning on promotion issues.

The role interfaces with cross-functional teams and external partners, ensuring FDA compliance and adherence to global standards. It includes training, label updates communication, and process improvement responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5 years of relevant experience and/or PharmD post-doctoral fellowship experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. advertising and promotional regulations.
• Experience communicating with OPDP and/or APLB.
• Experience with global standards for advertising and promotion compliance.
• Knowledge of industry compliance requirements and non-compliance trends.
• Experience with launching new products or indications.
• Understanding of business goals and marketing concepts/tools.
• Proficiency with promotional review software such as Veeva Promomats and Veeva Medcomms.

Responsibilities

• Review promotional and non-promotional material for US products and ensure FDA compliance.
• Serve as primary contact with OPDP/APLB for assigned products.
• Provide regulatory training on prescription drug promotion to staff.
• Advise product teams on advertising and promotion issues.
• Inform stakeholders of labeling changes and impact on materials.
• Develop processes for creation, review and approval of promotional materials.
• Stay current with FDA actions and regulatory standards.
