Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Senior Actuarial Pricing Manager based in Chicago, requiring 6+ years of experience in property and casualty actuarial pricing. This role involves leading pricing activities across multiple business lines, developing pricing models, and analyzing loss trends to improve pricing effectiveness.

The position is hybrid, allowing 2-3 days a week at our Chicago office. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in a related field and relevant actuarial certifications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of P&C actuarial experience focusing on pricing for property and casualty insurance products.
• Strong technical skills including proficiency in Excel and actuarial pricing software.
• Experience preparing/supporting state rate filings in the admitted market.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing activities for multiple lines of business in both admitted and excess & surplus markets.
• Build and develop pricing functions, models, and frameworks.
• Analyze loss trends, rate adequacy, and key performance indicators by state and product.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of P&C actuarial experience focusing on pricing for property and casualty insurance products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• ACAS or FCAS certification.
• Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) is highly preferred.
• Experience with both admitted insurance programs and E&S lines.
• Strong regulatory knowledge.
• Experience preparing/supporting state rate filings in the admitted market.
• Strong technical skills: proficiency in Excel and actuarial pricing software.
• Programming and/or data analysis language experience in SQL, Python.

Responsibilities
