What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, implement, and review capital modeling solutions for (re)insurers in a multi-disciplinary team
- Lead development initiatives, including project planning/governance and coding tasks
- Gather business requirements from clients for bespoke model builds and perform development tasks
- Assist with onboarding new clients and implementation projects, collaborating with various teams
- Deliver demonstrations of modeling tools to prospects and existing clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance sector in an actuarial role
- 2+ years of experience in a risk and/or capital modeling role within the P&C Insurance sector
- 2+ years of coding experience (Python, SQL desirable) and developing modeling solutions
- Technical knowledge of capital modeling techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of rating agency and/or regulatory capital modeling frameworks
- Familiarity with stochastic financial modeling software
- Experience with Tyche modeling software
- Background in leading and managing development projects and/or teams
