Job summary

Highmark Health in New Jersey seeks a Senior Actuarial Analyst to participate in the Actuarial Executive Development Program and progress toward actuarial credentials. You will define problems, outline data needs, and develop analyses and presentation materials to inform decision makers.

You will mentor staff, lead studies, and apply statistical methods to pricing, reserving, and profitability analyses across multiple actuarial functions, while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or closely related discipline.
• 3 years experience in an Actuarial role; 6 Exam Components.

Responsibilities

• Define & diagnose a problem; outline data requirements for a study and devise potential solutions.
• Create studies, analyses, and presentation materials for decision makers across teams.
• Proactively ensure internal/external consistency and perform reasonability checks.
• Mentor less experienced staff and provide technical input; lead in producing accurate work.
