Centene Corporation is seeking a Sr. Actuarial Analyst to support Medicare Advantage financial performance from a fully remote location within the continental U.S.

The role requires actuarial experience and progress toward an actuarial credential, with a Rule of 5 combined years of experience and exams. Expect forecasting, data analysis, and collaboration with business partners to drive cost efficiency and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Rule of 5: total actuarial exp + exams ≥ 5.
• Actuarial exams progress or credentialing required.

Responsibilities

• Apply principles of mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business to analyze Medicare FFS claims, savings initiatives, and provider risk-sharing arrangements.
• Develop and maintain quarterly forecasts for Medicare FFS medical costs, savings initiatives, and provider risk-sharing arrangements, identifying key trends, assumptions, and forecast variances.
• Develop and run data reports to identify emerging trends and gaps.
• Prepare financial and analytical exhibits and effectively communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to support forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Assist in financial analysis, forecasting, pricing, and risk assessment activities that support Medicare Advantage financial performance.

Key Details:

Fully remote within the Continental U.S. Requires actuarial experience and progress toward an actuarial credential, meeting the Rule of 5 (combined years of actuarial experience and actuarial exams passed must equal at least 5). Highly preferred experience includes Medicare Advantage forecasting, financial performance, Medicare FFS medical costs, savings initiatives, and provider risk-sharing arrangements. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and data analytics experience required; basic query/SQL knowledge required, and AI/Copilot experience is a plus.

In this Sr. Actuarial Analyst role, you will:

Pay Range: $70,100.00 - $126,200.00 per year
