Job summary

Oliver James Group partners with a fast-growing healthcare organization to expand its actuarial capabilities in Value-Based Care analytics and financial performance.

You will take ownership of actuarial and financial analysis across VBC arrangements, working with Finance, Clinical and Analytics teams to translate complex healthcare data into meaningful financial insights, with the position offering broad exposure and senior leadership visibility.

Qualifications

• ASA credentials with 4+ years of healthcare actuarial experience.
• Strong experience with healthcare claims and membership/eligibility data.
• Experience across Value-Based Care, ACOs, Medicare Advantage and/or health plan actuarial reporting.
• Expertise in medical cost/utilization, forecasting, reserving/IBNR, risk adjustment, total cost of care or VBC financial performance.
• Strong SQL and Excel capabilities; SAS, Python and/or R beneficial.

Job description

Oliver James are pleased to be working with a fast-growing healthcare organization that is continuing to expand its actuarial capabilities as it brings additional Value-Based Care analytics and financial performance work in-house. The team supports the financial performance of a growing portfolio of Value-Based Care arrangements, including health plan partnerships and ACO programs. At this level, you'll take ownership of actuarial and financial analysis across these arrangements, working closely with Finance, Clinical and Analytics teams to understand medical cost and utilization trends, identify the underlying drivers of performance and translate complex healthcare data into meaningful financial insights.

We're particularly interested in individuals with:

• ASA credentials with 4+ years of healthcare actuarial experience
• Strong experience working with healthcare claims and membership/eligibility data
• Experience across Value-Based Care, ACOs, Medicare Advantage and/or health plan actuarial reporting
• Expertise across areas such as medical cost/utilization, forecasting, reserving/IBNR, risk adjustment, total cost of care or VBC financial performance
• Strong SQL and Excel capabilities, with SAS, Python and/or R experience also beneficial
