Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking an Activity Assistant for the Hawaii Kai community to organize and promote activities that enhance residents' independence and quality of life. The role supports the Activity Director with engaging events and community involvement.

Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, ensuring safety, and fostering teamwork across departments; driving community vehicles when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license; Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination and daily health screening may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere with regular activities and excursions.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, staff and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork with staff from other departments.
