Job summary

InnovAge Holding Corp. seeks an Activities Assistant to help implement engaging activities for frail and elderly participants at the Day Center.

You will support Recreation Therapists, lead groups, and assist with daily living tasks, aiming to enhance participants' wellbeing. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Recreation Therapist, organization of events, charting, and providing lunch service support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with frail or elderly individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of recreational activities tailored to participants’ needs.
• Assess and reassess participants’ functional status in relation to participation in activities.
• Assist participants with non-skilled activities of daily living.
• Lead and/or assist in large groups, small groups, 1:1’s and individual activities.
• Organize special events and outings in collaboration with the Recreation Therapist.
• Prepare and clean up activities; manage supplies and organize activity areas.
• Attend meetings regarding participant care.
• Assist Day Center staff with lunch service and participant arrival assistance as approved.
• Order supplies and maintain department equipment.
• Complete assigned charting and reporting.
