American Village in Indianapolis is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Director to plan, develop, and implement engaging programs that improve residents' quality of life. You will lead a team of Activity Assistants, coordinate with departments, and ensure activities are inclusive for diverse abilities.

The role emphasizes CARE values and collaboration with regulatory agencies to provide meaningful, safe, and enjoyable experiences for seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting and completion of an Activities Director training or degree in recreational therapy.
• State approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program or CNA competency evaluation program completed.
• Demonstrates CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement engaging recreational programs to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Lead and mentor a team of Activity Assistants to deliver age-appropriate activities and monitor performance.
