Job summary

Ludlowe Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Fairfield, CT, is looking for an Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging recreational and therapeutic activities on weekends. This part-time role offers meaningful work helping seniors stay active and connected.

You will plan and run arts and crafts, games, and music sessions, coordinate with the Activities Director on a monthly calendar, and provide one-on-one support as needed. Strong teamwork and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and empathetic by nature.
• Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and chronically ill.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a range of activities for residents.
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other programs.
• Collaborate to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar.
• Provide one-on-one support for residents needing extra assistance.
• Foster community and social interaction among residents.
• Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities.
