Job summary

HCLTech in Cary, NC seeks an experienced Active Directory administrator to manage AD infrastructure, domain controllers, DNS/DHCP, GPOs, and related services.

Requires 5+ years in AD, Windows Server 2008-2016, PowerShell scripting, and experience with AD migrations, disaster recovery, and NetIQ/DRA tools. Exposure to O365/Exchange Online is included in duties and the role offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Active Directory administration and maintenance.
• Windows 2008/2012/2016 Active Directory knowledge.
• Installation and configuration of Active Directory domain controllers.
• Administering / Managing DNS, DHCP, PKI WSUS, FTP, Print Servers, File shares Administration Security.
• Managing / Performing /Troubleshooting of Group policy objects (GPO).
• Experience with complex scripting leveraging PowerShell.
• Experience working at an AD 2008 functional level and migration to 2012 functional level preferred.
• Experience with domain consolidations/migrations preferred.
• Experience working with Microsoft to perform ADRAP preferred.
• Experience working with NetIQ product suite preferred (DRA, Aegis, etc.).
• Experience using a ticket management system for work prioritization and daily workload management.
• Managing / Performing /Troubleshooting TS license service on Active Directory domain controllers
• Create or remove Trust relationships
• AD Disaster recovery
• Experience in fixing issues of Active Directory Replication, DFSR and FRS Replication, Authentication (Kerberos, NTLM) Group Policy Objects, Directory Services Disaster Recovery, Active Directory Certificate Services, Active Directory Federation Services, Configuration issues with the applications and other tool.
• Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the System Engineer level.
• Enough technical depth to communicate with business and other internal Supporting Groups at a peer level.
• Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and as part of Global team of engineers.
• Be confident and actively participating in team support by proposing and implementing solutions.
• Ability and confidence in making system recommendations and providing excellent customer support.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to create clear and concise documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Active Directory and associated services as part of a global engineering team.
• Manage and troubleshoot GPOs, DNS/DHCP, PKI, WSUS, file shares, and print servers.
• Perform AD disaster recovery and domain controller administration.
• Support AD migrations, domain consolidations, and ADRAP activities.
• Configure and maintain AD replication, DFSR/FRS, Kerberos/NTLM authentication.
• Collaborate with internal teams and communicate solutions clearly.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
