Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a DirectoryServices System Administrator in the Washington, D.C. area to sustain and enhance enterprise identity, authentication, and directory services.

You will work within a security-conscious IT environment to maintain hybrid authentication systems and implement automation. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus at least 5 years in AD services, Group Policy, domain controller management, and PKI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; experience may substitute for education.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Active Directory services architecture and management, Group Policy management, domain controller management, security configurations, AD Schema, PowerShell and PKI.
• Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and access control methodologies.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure/AWS Admin, Azure/AWS Security, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, MCSE)

Responsibilities

• Proven ability in managing, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and updating Active Directory services and hybrid authentication systems.
• Provide support in managing identity, access, authentication, and centralized resource management systems and platforms.
• Resolve technical issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of directory services under guidance or as part of a team.
• Utilize automation and orchestration tools for streamlined maintenance and monitoring of directory services systems.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies to enhance the directory services environment
