Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. seeks an Acquisition Program Manager to support a high-profile Air Force program at Wright Patterson AFB. You will work with the Program Office and major defense contractors to plan, acquire, and execute cost-effective capabilities.

The role requires 15+ years in DoD acquisition with contracting and J&A experience, plus TS/SCI and SAP eligibility. Travel up to 20% and ability to brief senior leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of acquisition experience and DoD program exposure.
• Experience with DoD contracting, J&A docs, and acquisition planning.
• Experience in a classified or special access program environment.
• Strong briefing and reporting skills for senior leadership.
• Proficient with Confluence, Jira, Excel, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and acquisition support for customer development efforts.
• Lead project execution and coordinate with program managers, contracts, and finance.
• Review schedules, status reports, and cost performance for government teams.
• Assist in contract awards, negotiations, and post-award activities.
• Develop acquisition strategies, roadmaps, and transition plans.
• Prepare briefings and documentation for senior DAF and OSD leadership.
• Identify and mitigate risks to technology development projects.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to establish relationships.
