Job summary

MDC Executive Search seeks a Senior Acquisitions Manager for the Los Angeles area to own the deal pipeline from initial look through closing, guiding a small team of analysts and associates. You will work with senior leadership and brokers, lenders, and equity partners to drive investment decisions.

In this high-visibility role you will set investment criteria, underwrite deals, and present recommendations to executives while coordinating cross-functional teams through closing and handoff.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in residential real estate acquisitions, investments, or development.
• Track record of sourcing, underwriting, and closing land or multifamily transactions, including portfolio or large-scale deals.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including Excel-based pro forma and returns analysis.
• Experience negotiating with brokers, lenders, and capital partners and presenting investment recommendations to senior executives.
• Experience managing or mentoring analysts or associates.
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or a related field.

Our client is a fast-growing, privately held real estate development and construction organization focused on residential projects across the West Coast. The leadership team is well capitalized, has a clear growth plan, and is investing heavily in its people and its pipeline.

The Opportunity

This is a high-visibility leadership seat with real influence. You will own the deal pipeline from first look to closing, work directly with senior leadership, and help set the criteria that guide where the company invests next. You will also build and lead a small team of analysts and associates.
