Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC seeks a Senior Acquisition Specialist to provide leadership across acquisition support for a CBP program. The role oversees a team of contractor acquisition and program management professionals, guiding daily tasks, program deliverables, and staffing while collaborating with contracting officials and stakeholders.

Required are 10+ years in federal acquisition, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of FAR and DHS processes.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in federal acquisition support (DoD or DHS).
Proven leadership managing teams of 5–10 people.
Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or related discipline.
Expert knowledge of FAR, acquisition frameworks, processes, and governance (DoD or DHS).
Performance-based logistics contract experience required.
Ability to pass a government background investigation and US citizenship required.
Strong communication, presentation, and customer-engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as Government PM's primary POC for programs.
Lead, mentor, and supervise contractor acquisition and program staff across a program.
Oversee daily program tasks, deliverables, and staffing for execution.
Identify risks, issues, and opportunities; escalate as needed.
Work with US Border Patrol to monitor milestones and key events.
Develop and review acquisition strategies, market research, SOWs/PWSs, IGCEs.
Drive process improvements and acquisition techniques aligned with DHS rules.
