Job summary

Defense Logistics Agency, Headquarters, Office of General Counsel, seeks a Division Chief, Acquisition Law, to serve as the Agency’s senior acquisition legal advisor. You will lead the Acquisition Law Team, advise senior officials, supervise subordinates, and ensure timely, high-quality legal services on complex procurements and policy issues.

A secret clearance is required. The role emphasizes leadership, client service, and deep federal acquisition expertise within a DoD context.

Qualifications

• Active bar membership in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Extensive federal acquisition law experience.
• 3+ years of professional legal experience at the GS-15 level (or equivalent).
• Secret security clearance required (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior acquisition legal advisor to Agency officials and staff.
• Lead the OGC Acquisition Law Team and manage work assignments.
• Provide policy guidance on complex procurements and regulatory issues.
• Undergo periodic performance evaluations and ensure timely client support.
• Back-up support to other practice areas as needed.
