Job summary

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seeks a highly skilled attorney to provide legal counsel on federal acquisitions and procurement within the Office of the General Counsel, General Law Division. You will advise DHS procurement and program officials and represent DHS in bid protests and claims appeals across various forums.

This is a non-bargaining unit, GS-14/15 level role requiring specialized experience and a JD (or LLB/LLM) and a strong background in acquisition law and government

Qualifications

• Must have professional law degree (JD/LLB or LLM).
• Specialized experience in federal acquisition and procurement.
• Experience advising on procurement planning, contract formation, bid protests, claims, disputes, or related litigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on federal acquisitions and procurement to DHS officials.
• Represent DHS in bid protests and claims appeals at various fora.
