Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Federal or DoD acquisition experience (pre-/post-award).
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• FAR Subpart 7.1 acquisition plan development knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to support on-site meetings in the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities

• Advise HQ USSF leadership and COMSATCOM stakeholders on acquisition strategies as markets and mission needs evolve.
• Serve as the principal liaison between HQ USSF contracting office and mission users to ensure requirements are captured.
• Lead or support development of acquisition plans with milestones, contracts types, and performance requirements.
• Coordinate with systems engineers and technical teams to ensure requirements are achievable and aligned.
• Assess procurement strategies for feasibility, schedule realism, regulatory compliance, and mission effectiveness.
• Develop performance metrics and performance-based acquisition elements for contractor accountability.
• Draft acquisition documents and modifications for Government review and action.
• Prepare clear, timely communications and stakeholder correspondence.
• Track procurement milestones and identify schedule risks to stay on timeline.
