Senior Acquisition Analyst – Pentagon

KBR’s Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of War, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. KBR partners with clients to develop innovative solutions and prioritizes data security, privacy, and responsible information management to ensure mission success.

We are seeking a Senior Acquisition Analyst with an expert understanding of Department of War acquisition and program management procedures and a basic understanding of Counter Uncrewed Aircraft Systems technologies to support the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon. The analyst will support the OPNAV N4I C‑UxS Team, may directly interact and support OPNAV Installations and Logistics staff, and apply subject matter expertise to OPNAV planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of C‑UxS developmental projects.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Work closely with OPNAV N4 military and civilian leads, maintaining situational awareness of current and developing threats and C‑UxS solutions while following DoW SOPs and policies.
  • Coordinate and lead regular program management reviews of active research, development, test, and evaluation projects to develop C‑UxS solutions.
  • Lead corrective actions for underperforming projects and conduct annual reviews of proposals for RDT&E projects.
  • Identify acquisition courses of action for new RDT&E proposals, staff them for approval, and coordinate with the DON Resource Management team for accurate reporting of project budget execution.
  • Provide project management coordination and leadership for DON‑led projects, coordinate operational planning teams, and work with stakeholders as needed for special subjects/issues.
  • Coordinate staffing actions and taskers in accordance with OPNAV SOPs and policies; prepare written products such as emails, presentations, reports, and executive summaries.
  • Support the Project Objective Memorandum (POM) and budget formulation process; prepare, process, and respond to tasking received via Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) and generate tasking assignments.
  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products; possess understanding of the relationships and responsibilities of the DON, including the offices of the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations.
  • Answer requests for information from key stakeholders, including Congress, OSD, and the Services.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM or business field (accounting, auditing, business administration, business analytics, economics, or finance) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of related work experience.
  • Active Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s Degree in an applicable field.
