Job summary

Google is seeking a senior acoustics engineer to lead the acoustic systems architecture for XR wearables, including smart glasses, based in San Jose, CA.

You will guide tuning teams, define quality metrics and roadmaps, and coordinate hardware, software, research, and vendor partners to deliver end-to-end audio quality across products. Strong background in physical acoustics and DSP is essential to drive cross-functional hardware co-design and audio algorithm integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least eight years of relevant industry experience.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred; production experience tuning playback and capture pipelines and shipped audio systems for wearables is a plus.
