Job summary

Burlington International Airport is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to provide accounting support within the Finance function. The role reports to the Director of Finance and contributes to monthly close, financial reporting and budgeting.

The position supports accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial analyses while maintaining controls and accurate records. A two-day remote option per week is available in this temporary assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Accounting or 5+ years of office management with accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in Windows with advanced spreadsheet, word processing and database skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily accounting functions for the Airport Finance operations.
• Assists with monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and reconciliations.
• Prepares journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Assists with preparation of financial statements, reports and analyses.
• Performs budget-to-actual analyses and monitors departmental expenditures and revenues.
• Supports accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and vendor/customer reconciliations.
• Maintains internal controls and financial records in compliance with policies.
