Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Bloomington, MN. The role leads a team of transaction processors, ensuring timely, accurate processing of vendor invoices, vendor setups, and inquiries while upholding internal controls and policies.

The position focuses on expense processing, reporting, and supporting month-end closings. A Bachelor’s in accounting and 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience are required, with CPA or related designations

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA or other financial designations preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily transaction processing activities for vendor invoices, new vendor setups, and inquiries.
• Monitor workflow and deadlines to maintain service levels.
• Review transaction accuracy for internal controls and policies.
• Resolve complex processing issues with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain financial records and data integrity for audits and reporting.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc reports on transaction metrics and performance.
• Support month-end and year-end closings by meeting timelines.
