Job summary

Centuri Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll within a construction environment. The role includes job costing, revenue recognition and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 4 years of accounting and supervisory experience. This position emphasizes internal controls, GAAP adherence and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 4 years of accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures for accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
• Must possess an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to administrative and operational management.
• Provide in-depth accounting support of all accounting functions including accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management and job costing.
• Ensure accurate recording and recognition of revenue.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements/efficiencies.
• Assist with contract bid preparations.
• Provide weekly and monthly financial reports to leadership.
• Assist in cross-training administrative staff.
• Maintain open communications with customers, vendors, superintendents and other staff.
• Verify internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents.
• Lead in the compilation of information related to internal and external audit requests and inquires.
• Act as backup to the supervisor when needed.
• Other duties as requested by leadership.
