Job summary

ImmunityBio in El Segundo, CA, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting for contractual arrangements across product and service portfolios. You will ensure the integrity of financial records and lead a month-end close in line with US GAAP.

The role requires 6+ years of accounting experience, a bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of GL processes. CPA is preferred, and prior life sciences experience is a plus. Eligible for bonus and equity awards, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
• 6+ years of professional accounting experience required.
• Deep experience with GL journal entries and reconciliations required.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Life sciences industry experience preferred.
• Experience leading a small team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and/or perform journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy across multiple areas.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances with justification.
• Review monthly expenses and contract listings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial results.
• Lead month-end close per US GAAP and company policies.
• Ensure SOX compliance across accounting functions.
• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, including training.
• Manage internal and external audit requests and resolve control deficiencies.
