Job summary

Purple Wave Auction, a growing online equipment auction company, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a four-person team in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Controller and oversee accounting operations, revenue recognition, and treasury relationships.

The role requires strong technical accounting skills, leadership ability, and collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Product, and Technology to optimize processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end/quarter-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transaction processing for high-volume auction activities.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable, including procurement, seller settlements, and buyer collections.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, with preparation of financial statements and variance analyses.
• Support budget, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate issues and solutions.
