Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior accounting/financial management professional in Cleveland, OH, to oversee billing, financial statements, GL, payroll, budgeting, tax, inventory, revenue recognition, and analyses. You will ensure US GAAP compliance and robust internal controls.

Coordinate annual audits, manage cash flow and forecasting, and present results to the CFO and leadership. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with CPA or MBA is preferred, plus 5+ years in manufacturing finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in senior accounting or financial management with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating audits and managing reporting, budgeting and analysis, A/P & A/R, GL, payroll, and investments.
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
• Tech savvy with software vendor management; advanced accounting/reporting software knowledge.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills for strategic data interpretation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present data to senior management/board.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting management including billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, A/P, A/R, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present financial reports and collate materials for donor segments; oversee finance, projects/programs and grants accounting.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit; liaise with external auditors and board finance committee.
• Implement, document and maintain internal controls.
• Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
• Implement contracts management and financial management/reporting system; ensure contract billing/collection schedules are adhered to.
• Update and implement business policies and accounting practices; enhance the finance department policy manual.
• Present critical financial matters to CFO and top management.
