Job description

LHH (Atlanta) is partnering with a nationally recognized leader in the retail and services industry that continues to grow rapidly through strategic acquisitions and innovative offerings. They’re seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations of a $150M division within their $500M+ enterprise.

In this fully remote role, you’ll lead a team of 3–4 accounting professionals and play a key role in financial reporting, process improvement, and strategic planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting leader to join a high-growth organization that values flexibility, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the monthly close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Prepare, review, and approve complex journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data across all entities within the division.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger functions, with a focus on internal controls and process efficiency.
  • Support the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial and compliance audits, serving as the key point of contact and ensuring all documentation and schedules are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and systems enhancements to strengthen operational efficiency, scalability, and reporting capabilities, particularly within NetSuite and other integrated platforms.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth, while managing performance and workload distribution effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams
  • Background in inventory-driven environments (retail and/or service experience preferred)
  • Strong ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred)
  • Must currently reside in the Atlanta metro area (only local candidates will be considered)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary up to $140,000
  • 10% annual bonus
