Heritage Roofing & Construction seeks an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations and lead the bookkeeping function. The role covers the full cycle—AP, AR, month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations—with timely, accurate monthly reviews for leadership.

This hands-on leadership position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can both execute and supervise. You will set standards, review staff work, and optimize accounting systems and controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Full cycle accounting knowledge: AP, AR, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets).
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage AP and AR functions, vendor payments, invoicing, collections, and aging analysis.
• Own the month-end close process end to end.
• Prepare and review accruals, prepaid amortization, and adjusting entries.
• Perform and review bank, credit card, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
