Koch Engineered Solutions in Wichita, KS is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead financial stewardship, strengthen controls, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve performance. The role emphasizes governance, project and manufacturing cost analysis, and leveraging tech to drive reporting and decision support.

The candidate will guide accounting practices across the business, drive process improvements, and build capability through Principle Based Management®.

Qualifications

• Experience in controllership, accounting, manufacturing finance, cost/project accounting or finance leadership.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including financial reporting and internal controls.
• Ability to influence outcomes across multiple functions and levels.
• Experience partnering with business leaders to improve performance.
• Proven ability to present analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to leadership.
• Track record leading teams and driving organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and governance.
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Lead reviews for complex transactions, inventory, reserves, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Partner with auditors and business leaders to support risk management.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, project, and commercial teams to improve performance.
• Provide financial insight on manufacturing performance, project execution, and cost drivers.
• Influence decisions through economic thinking and strategic analysis.
• Lead process improvements, standardization, and automation of finance processes.
• Leverage analytics/AI-enabled solutions to enhance reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Develop and coach high-performing finance teams.
