Attivo Partners is a fast-growing finance and accounting consulting firm offering fractional CFO and accounting services to venture-backed startups. The Senior Accounting Manager role is hands-on, handling full-cycle month-end close, AR/AP, payroll, and tax compliance across multiple clients while helping with financial reporting and budgeting.

The position is remote with preference for candidates in Boise, Nashville, New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, and Austin, and involves 2–3 weeks of

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly financial statements and budget vs actual analysis.
• Assist with financial modeling and forecasting for clients.
• Manage Accounts Receivable including invoicing and collections.
• Manage Accounts Payable ensuring timely payments and policy compliance.
• Process employee onboarding, payroll, and terminations.
• Mentor and train future team members.

Role Overview

The Senior Accounting Manager position is a hands-on role, responsible for accounting functions for multiple clients that include full-cycle month-end close, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and tax compliance. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the general accounting for clients, assisting with the creation of financial statements and management reporting, managing the organization’s cash, and assisting with the creation of departmental budgets and forecasts. Experience with developing and establishing policies and procedures within a corporation is highly preferred. The ideal candidate has worked at or with early-stage start-ups.

The position location is flexible/work from home, with preference given to candidates in the following cities where Attivo has an employee presence: Boise, Nashville, New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, and Austin. Candidates in other locations welcome to apply.Some travel to in-person company events is required, approximately 2-3 weeks out of the year.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of GAAP, CPA preferred
• Advanced+ Excel
• Experience with standard software solutions: QuickBooks Online, Xero, Netsuite,Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, Carta
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Independent judgment and decision-making
• Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities at a time
• Professional curiosity & creativity
• Passionate desire to learn & for continuous improvement

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience working in a fast-paced technology, or professional services environment

Salary Range

Attivo offers a competitive base plus bonus, and opportunities for advancement. The starting salary range for Senior Accounting Manager is approximately $130,000 to $150,000 per year plus bonus.
