Position Overview:

The Accounting Senior Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and GAAP. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will be responsible for managing key areas of the close process, with a strong focus on revenue recognition and inventory accounting.

The goal of this position is to deliver timely and reliable financial reporting that supports informed decision-making and operational efficiency. The Accounting Senior Manager will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance the overall quality of financial data.

This role will also provide regular exposure to the leadership team, offering visibility into strategic initiatives and the opportunity to communicate financial insights that help guide business performance.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, including oversight of general ledger activity, preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee end-to-end inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, and quarterly reserves for returns & excess & obsolete items.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606 across all channels (DTC, Amazon, and wholesale), including accounting for discounts, promotions, returns, chargebacks, and other variable considerations.
  • Support tax compliance and audit readiness, including coordination of sales tax filings, multi-state nexus considerations, and preparation of audit schedules.
  • Play a role in ERP implementation and optimization (NetSuite), including system configuration, data validation, process design, and ongoing enhancements to support scalable, SKU-level financial reporting.
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and development.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate workflows and drive scalability.
What you’ll bring:
  • 5-7 years accounting experience (startup & beauty experience a plus!)
  • Strong proficiency within Netsuite required
  • Strong Proficiency with Google Suite & Microsoft Excel
  • A self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly.
  • The ability to operate independently while clearly communicating your priorities and initiatives to the rest of the team.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.

  • Base Annual Salary of $150-155K
