Our client in Tucson, AZ seeks an Accounting Lead reporting to the Manager of Accounting and Controls. You will lead a team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records from daily transactions through close and financial statement preparation.

You will coordinate with internal and external auditors, maintain robust internal controls, and collaborate cross-functionally to support business operations and asset accounting, including intercompany activities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional designation (CPA, CMA) or MBA preferred.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisor role.
• Experience with a major ERP system (preferably SAP).
• Experience with joint venture accounting, multiple company codes, and intercompany transactions.
• Experience in mining, metals, or related heavy industrial industry highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for timely, accurate reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation for multiple company codes.
• Oversee financial statements prepared under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Oversee JV accounting and consolidation or intercompany transactions.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
