Job summary

Huntington Bank is seeking an Accounting Group Manager to lead a team of accounting/finance managers in a fast-paced environment. You will reconcile complex GL accounts, conduct analytical research, ensure GAAP compliance, and prepare quarter-end reporting with CPA credentials and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics required.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or regulatory field.
• CPA preferred for advanced roles and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently reconcile complex general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with accounting principles and Huntington policies.
• Research issues with complex GL accounts and perform financial analyses.
• Ensure changes in reconciliation processes are documented for GAAP compliance.
• Provide quarter-end reporting and preparation/upload of accounting entries.
• Lead day-to-day activities of the Accounting/Finance team and mentor staff.
• Design, develop and implement accounting/financial systems and identify cost-effective technologies.
• Offer training and guidance to less experienced team members.
• Manage ad-hoc projects and ensure internal controls are robust and efficient.
