Job summary

Huntington National Bank in Chicago seeks an Accounting Group Manager to lead a team of accounting/finance managers and oversee complex reconciliations and GAAP-compliant journal entries. You will review data and perform analyses to support accurate financial reporting.

The role includes quarter-end reporting, process improvement, and mentoring less-experienced staff while ensuring internal controls and timely delivery of high-quality work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or regulatory field.
• CPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently reconcile complex general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in researching issues with complex GL accounts and complex accounting/financial analysis.
• Provide reporting for quarter-end requirements.
• Prepare and upload accounting entries.
• Designs, develops and implements accounting/financial systems.
• Responsible for overall accuracy, timeliness and internal controls relating to Huntington accounting/financial systems.
