Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a seasoned staff accountant to support financial accounting projects, including budgets, reconciliations, board reporting, and monthly analyses. You will manage the monthly close, prepare journal entries, and interact with clients to ensure timely financial information.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3+ years of full-charge experience, and familiarity with multiple accounting systems. Occasional travel to support eastern and central time zones is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of full-charge staff accountant experience.
• 3+ years with computerized accounting systems including GL and financial statements.
• Experience with PointClickCare, Sage Intacct, Yardi, Peachtree or Creative Solutions.
• Payroll tax filings experience.
• Willingness to travel ~5%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial accounting projects including annual budgets, reconciliation of accounts, board reporting, and monthly financial analyses.
• Complete monthly financial statement close process including account reconciliations, reconciling sub-ledgers, posting of journal entries and communication with clients.
• Perform data collection and analysis for senior care and living projects utilizing benchmark data and other client financial information.
• Prepare Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for various provider types including skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice organizations.
