Riverside County is seeking qualified candidates for a county-wide recruitment to establish a Senior Accounting Assistant Countywide Candidate Pool for both regular and temporary openings across multiple departments. This pool will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Please note, some positions may require separate applications.

The most competitive applicants (based on specialized skills) will be referred for interviews. Applicants will receive email notifications when their application is no longer being considered due to pool expiration. Some positions may require a law enforcement background investigation.
OPTION I: One year of experience as an Accounting Assistant II with Riverside County or equivalent.
OPTION II: Three years of experience reviewing, reconciling, and preparing financial accounts, with coursework substitution options.
Knowledge of fiscal record keeping, accounting systems, basic math, and payroll practices. Ability to perform arithmetical computations, operate office equipment, understand financial transactions, and communicate effectively.
Offers contingent upon physical, drug/alcohol test, and background check, including fingerprinting.
Subject to probation as per County policies. Temporary employees serve at the discretion of department heads.
