Job summary

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Finance and Accounting team in Columbus, OH. This role reports to the Controller and focuses on ASC 842 lease accounting, fixed assets, and month-end close.

You will partner with Operations and Real Estate to ensure accurate financial reporting, drive process improvements, and support audits and franchise accounting. A background in U.S. GAAP with ERP experience and strong Excel skills is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; experience with ASC 842 lease accounting preferred.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting, account reconciliations, and monthly financial close.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• CPA or public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lease Accounting (ASC 842): manage assets, liabilities, and reconciliations.
• Fixed Asset Accounting: manage additions, disposals, depreciation, capex, reconciliations.
• Month-End Close: journal entries, reconciliations, schedules.
